Our Story
(Scarlett's Version)

It all started in 2019...

Mom and I were living the life. We had a sweet setup at my grandpawrent’s house and I was her world. We did walkies at 6 am every morning, she visited me at lunch time, we spent every night together and we went on adventures on the weekends. Then mom told me she had met someone and she wanted me to meet him. I suggested we get dinner somewhere I could go. That’s when I met my John.

He lived in something called an “apartment” and that meant that there were other people living in the building next to him and I wasn't supposed to bark at the noises.
Mom would sneak me in and we’d spend our dates walking in the neighborhood and sometimes we’d get ice cream to share.
Mom decided that I deserved to have my own yard so we were going to buy a house. I got used to spending all my free time with my John so I asked mom if he could come with us. They were both completely obsessed with me so it made sense they should live together and share in taking care of me.

We moved to our first little house and they got me chickens! I had fresh eggs every morning and was in my
“Farm Dog Era.”

We also had a few foster dogs which got a little annoying because it was truly all about me and why were they there stealing my attention? But, whatever. Mom and John eventually decided to work full time at home with me and they did that for a pretty long time.

We also did fun things like having a party in the garage
for Halloween.

Then John said he wanted to move so he could work at a place called LEGO. We moved into a bigger house in Connecticut and I got to become best friends with this little guy named Charlie. My grandpawrents missed me so much they adopted my look-a-like, Jonas.
So now I have both a Massachusetts and a Connecticut boyfriend!

But enough about my love life…back to my mom and dad!
My John asked mom to marry him near Christmas time. They left me and went out to dinner and when they came back, no doggie bag! The audacity! I was so upset about my lack of leftovers I told him that I wasn’t helping with the engagement surprise anymore and I refused to hold the note in my collar. Mom and I got all comfy on the couch and he gave mom a little box with something inside of it. Then they tried to kiss but they must’ve been confused so I inserted myself between them in my rightful spot.

So here we are, about to make this family official and it’s almost time for my mom and my dad to pledge to love, honor, and cherish me for the rest of their lives in front of all their family and friends. I’m so excited!
